Terms & Conditions
Please read the following terms carefully before placing an order.
These terms and conditions apply to all orders placed with Rock Solid Concrete Ltd ("we", "us", "our"), registered in England. By placing an order you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. Quotations & Pricing
- All prices quoted are subject to VAT at the prevailing rate (currently 20%).
- Quotations are valid for 7 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated.
- Prices are based on the information provided at the time of quotation. Should site conditions differ, we reserve the right to adjust pricing accordingly.
- Online prices are calculated automatically based on mix type, volume, distance, and any selected extras (pump hire, aggregate upgrades, etc.).
2. Orders & Payment
- Orders placed online are subject to a pre-authorisation hold on your payment card for the order total plus a 15% buffer to cover potential additional charges (e.g. waiting time, additional volume).
- The final amount captured will reflect the actual cost of the delivery, including any applicable surcharges.
- We accept payment via major credit and debit cards through our secure Stripe payment gateway.
- Account customers may be invoiced on agreed terms. Payment is due within 30 days of invoice date unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue payments at 8% above the Bank of England base rate.
3. Delivery
- Delivery times are provided as estimates and are not guaranteed. We will make every reasonable effort to deliver at the agreed time.
- We deliver Monday to Friday, with Saturday deliveries available by arrangement.
- The customer is responsible for ensuring adequate site access for our vehicles. Our trucks are up to 8.5 metres long and 32 tonnes gross weight.
- The customer must ensure a suitable, firm, level hardstanding is available for our vehicle and that the route to the pour site is clear and safe.
- If our driver considers that access or ground conditions are unsafe, we reserve the right to refuse delivery. Charges may still apply.
- We deliver within approximately 50 miles of our batching plants in Coventry and Melton Mowbray.
4. Waiting Time

- A standard offloading time of 20 minutes per load is included in your delivery price.
- Waiting time beyond 20 minutes will be charged at £2 per minute (plus VAT).
- The customer is responsible for ensuring sufficient labour, wheelbarrows, and equipment are available to offload the concrete promptly.
5. Concrete Specification & Quality
- All concrete is batched in accordance with BS EN 206 and BS 8500.
- It is the customer's responsibility to ensure the correct mix is ordered for the intended application. We are happy to advise, but the final decision rests with the customer or their engineer/architect.
- We recommend cube testing for structural applications. This service is available on request.
- Once concrete has been discharged from the vehicle, we accept no responsibility for its subsequent handling, placing, compaction, or curing.
- Adding water on site is at the customer's own risk and may invalidate any quality guarantees.
6. Cancellations & Amendments
- Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the scheduled delivery will receive a full refund.
- Cancellations made less than 24 hours before delivery may be subject to a cancellation charge.
- Amendments to order volumes or delivery times should be communicated as early as possible. We will do our best to accommodate changes but cannot guarantee availability.
- If we are unable to fulfil your order due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g. vehicle breakdown, adverse weather), we will notify you as soon as possible and arrange an alternative delivery date or a full refund.

- Wet concrete is highly alkaline and can cause serious burns to skin and eyes. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times.
- It is the customer's responsibility to ensure the site is safe for our delivery vehicles and personnel.
- Our drivers will follow safe working practices at all times and have the authority to refuse to deliver if they consider conditions to be unsafe.
8. Liability
- Our liability for any claim arising from the supply of concrete shall not exceed the invoice value of the goods supplied.
- We shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or economic loss arising from the use of our products or services.
- We are not responsible for damage to driveways, paths, grass verges, or underground services caused by the weight of our vehicles. It is the customer's responsibility to identify and protect any such areas.
- Claims relating to quality or quantity must be made within 48 hours of delivery, supported by appropriate evidence.
9. Force Majeure
We shall not be held liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations where such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather, road closures, vehicle breakdowns, industrial action, or government restrictions.
10. Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
